We were lucky enough to get to see the books for the book fair being dropped off last week. We enjoyed watching the hoist go up and down when we said, "Up!" and "Down!" We are excited to be able to go and have a look at all the wonderful books that will be available.
We are a Year One classroom with Ms Pearce as our teacher. We love to learn new things about the world around us.

Book week this week!
Our end of Term 2 "Frozen" Pajama party!
We worked so hard on our learning in Term 2 that we decided we would like to have a pajama party and watch the Disney movie "Frozen". We had popcorn too! Thank you to the CB's family for letting us borrow the DVD and BN's family for letting us borrow the "Crazy popcorn popper" and the lovely warm knitted blankets.
Agent P's holiday with Ms Pearce!
Agent P had a very exciting holiday with Ms Pearce. He went from Auckland to Taupo then to Napier then to Palmerston North. Then Agent P travelled all the way back to Auckland. He had a great time! Thank you to the Peer Mediators for letting me have him for the holidays.

Our superstars this week
Wow! SP received our special Term certificate this term for always being ready to learn. She is one lovely class member in Room 8! SN is our values person this week for showing the value of Honesty at school.
Ms Pearce received Agent P from the Peer mediators. They said it is because is is always lovely to others. Thanks Peer mediators! Agent P is going to go on holiday with Ms Pearce and she will post up photos from their adventures this holiday break.
Have a wonderful break everyone and keep warm and safe.

We LOVE this book!
We came across this book in our Term 2 National Library book collection and we fell in love. We almost read this everyday this Term!
Moo! is about a cow who dreams of driving a car then takes a car for sale on a test drive. The difference with this book is it only has one word (apart from the ending!) in it: Moo!
A lovely book by David LaRochelle. Room 8 highly recommends this book to all.
