Wohoo! Room 8's assembly!!!

BN sharing his Mathletics with us

Today for news, BN shared his Mathletics with us. He showed us just how quick he was with his basic facts when he raced against the computer in a time trial. He also showed us "timetable toons" and we all went through the 11 and 12 timetables together. 

Thank you BN for sharing your wonderful Maths learning that you do at home with us. We are all really proud of your fantastic "Math brain!" 

Our super stars of the week

Well done LT for being our superstar this week. LT receives the award for always taking pride in her work. BN was our values person this week for always showing consideration. 

We are going on a worm hunt....

Yes, you heard right, a worm hunt! We found out that axolotl's love worms so we decided to go on a worm hunt so we can feed our class pet Axel some worms. We first thought about where we could find some worms around the school and set off on our walk. 

We had a good look but only came up with one little tiny worm. We think we will look again first thing in the morning and maybe if it is a rainy day. 

We then came back to class and wrote some stories about our worm hunt. 

Here are some of them:

I went looking for worms. I did not find any worms. CF

We found some worms but we found one little worm for Axel. He is excited to have his worm. Z M-E

We were looking and we found one and it was dirty and we are going to feed it to axolotl. CB

When it is hot a worm stays in the ground. When it is cold a worm stays in the ground. When it is wet the worms comes out. K McK

Superstars this week

Our superstars this week are SN for his wonderful reading and Z M-B is our consideration values person. DS won the best costume of the class.

Book week dress up day

Here we all are dressed up in our Book week character costumes. We had everything from Iron man, Ninja turtles to Tinkerbell, Rapunzel and little Red Riding hood. Ms P was of course the lovely Mary Poppins.

A fantastic day had by all!
