DN's news about MH370

DN shared with us today news of the plane crash MH370. Here is what we would like to say about it:

The plane went the wrong way CE

We didn't want the New Zealanders to die H T-R

We hope that some survived, It is sad. KMcK

It went downwards into the water CF

I hope we there were no babies on there. MO

We wished the plane landed on the ground safely. SP
We hope that no other planes crash in that area. BY

We don't know if it crashed and if it didn't have gas. WS

When Mummy and Daddy told me, I started crying. CB

We love the plane. LK

Thank you for sharing this for news DN. It has opened a lot of conversation about it. We are all sad for the people of MH370 and all of their families. Rest in peace. Love Room 8. 

A very special fairy house....

TA from our class has been working so hard with her Mum to make a beautiful fairy house. She wanted to share it for news but it is so precious and delicate that we could only have a photo of it as it couldn't make the journey to school. 

TA has been collecting items for her fairy house for awhile now and the house has slowly but surely come together in a stunning way. 

We know the fairies will be visiting TA! Thank you for sharing your creation with us.

Look who came in for a visit...

Ms Pearce was so lucky to get a visit from TA and her lovely Mum this afternoon. TA is loving her new school!! We miss you very much TA but we are glad you are having fun at your new school too. 

We hope to see you again soon.

WE LOVE BUDDY READING!!!!!!!!!! Love room 8. 

Geoff's visit to the library

Geoff came to the library with us and chose a book for Ms Pearce to read to us, "The Bear's Lunch" by Pamela Allen. Geoff sat really nicely on the mat.

Congratulations BY and CE! BY is our star of the week for achieving his goal of putting his whole head under the water during swimming lessons!CE won the values this week for using her manners.

This week's Assembly

Congratulations to BN for receiving the Special Terrific Person award this week for being a super learner and also helping others learn. 

We had also had a nice surprise and won Geoff the Gardener for keeping our classroom tidy.
